USDA Organic Certification
USDA Certified Organic: (all food) The USDA is the only true standardized national system of organic food labeling. Any food bearing the USDA Certified Organic label contains at least 95% organic ingredients—meaning that they’ve been grown, packaged, and shipped without the use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, and were not born of genetically engineered crops (or GMOs). For meats, poultry, and dairy products, the USDA organic certification ensures that the animal was only fed organic, vegetarian feed, and was not administered antibiotics or hormones.
